As part of IMDA's efforts to strengthen protection against scams, registration with the Singapore SMS Sender ID Registry ("SSIR") will be mandatory for all organisations which uses SMS Sender IDs.
With effect from 31 January 2023 under SSIR, all non-registered alphanumeric Sender IDs and SMS will be marked as "Likely-SCAM" when sent to a Singapore mobile users. This will help users to filter out "spam messages".
We strongly advise customers to remain vigilant against ongoing scams.
